Home Cooked Dinners Pickering

A meal-preparation store is a facility that provides all the necessary materials for customers to assemble a number of dinners to be cooked at home.

How a Meal-Preparation Store Works

The first step is to order the dinners through the meal-preparation store's online-ordering system. Next, it's time to choose a date and time for the assembly session. A session is generally one or two hours, depending on the number of entrees to be assembled. At the facility, there will be a station for each dinner. All of the necessary ingredients--pre-washed, chopped, diced and grated--and equipment will be at the station. There will also be a list of detailed instructions that include every step of the process. A container of some kind (usually either a tin pan or a freezer bag) in which to place the finished product will be at the station as well. There should be a sticker or label to affix to the container that has the name of the dish and the cooking instructions.

Place the finished dinner into the refrigerator on site and move to the next station. Repeat this process until all of the pre-ordered entrees have been completed. Once home from the meal-preparation store, place assembled entrees into the freezer. Remember that many of these entrees will need to be defrosted before they are cooked, so be sure to plan at least one day in advance.
